ASUS Drivers (Motherboards)

Windows 8 drivers can be downloaded via ASUS's support site, linked below.
Most of the Windows 8 drivers available right now from ASUS are beta drivers, but more and more are WQHL certified for Windows 8. On my last check, I saw Windows 8 drivers for several of ASUS's more popular Intel and AMD based motherboards.
You can see a current list of Windows 8 supported ASUS motherboards on their Windows 8-Ready Motherboards page. I'd guess that this page will stay updated for quite a while as Windows 8 becomes more commonplace.

NVIDIA has released GeForce drivers version 314.22. This update boosts performance in several games and fixes a number of issues.
This is the final, WHQL version of these drivers and replaces the previously available v314.07 WHQL drivers. You should install v314.22 if you have a supported NVIDIA GPU running any previous driver release.
Important: This NVIDIA driver was previously available as v314.21 Beta and v314.14 Beta. If you installed either beta version of this driver, please update to v314.22 as soon as possible. It's almost always a better idea to have the WHQL certified version of a driver installed.
Here are some of the new features, changes, and fixes available in v314.22 over previous releases:
  • Increases performance in BioShock InfiniteTomb RaiderSleeping DogsCivilization V, and several more games.
  • Updates SLI profiles for Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie ArmyDungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter, and more.
  • Adds 3D Vision profiles for MUDBrutal Legend, and Tomb Raider.
  • Fixes several issues found in Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP since the last WHQL release.
  • NVIDIA PhysX is at v9.12.1031 and HD Audio is at v1.3.23.1 in this release.
For complete information on v314.22, see NVIDIA's Version 314.22 Release Notes for Windows 8/7/Vista here (desktop) and here (notebook), or the Version 314.22 Release Notes for Windows XP here. All links are to PDF files

Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Driver 3.0.89.14.1004

USB 3.0 -- SuperSpeed
As the technology innovation move forward, new media formats, fancy applications and more affordable storage are requiring significant bandwidth to maintain the user experiences when moving or editing these super size data.

The USB 3.0 specification has 5Gbps transfer rate which is 10 times performance increase over USB 2.0 while maintaining the backward compatibility. Legacy devices (USB 2.0/1.1) continue to work with new USB 3.0 host and new USB 3.0 device works at USB 2.0 speed while plugged into USB 2.0 hosts.

Extensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI)
The Extensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI) is a register-level hardware/software interface between USB host system software and the USB host controller hardware. The xHCI architecture is defined to ultimately replace the UHCI/OHCI/EHCI, and to provide high performance, high power efficient, and extensible USB host architecture for interfacing to next-generation USB devices and even beyond.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
